Job summary

Westdale Asset Management in Austin, TX seeks a Service Technician I for a 387-unit newly constructed apartment community in South Austin. You will turn vacant units into move-in ready homes and maintain the grounds and common areas, contributing to a clean, safe, and welcoming property.

The role requires at least 6 months of maintenance experience, with 1 year in apartments preferred. You will work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, with on-call duties every three weeks and a Texas

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of maintenance experience on an apartment community, commercial building, or single-family residences.
• 1 year of apartment maintenance experience is a plus.
• Must meet all physical requirements and be able to take direction.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Must be able to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced, customer service-oriented environment.
• Weekends as circumstances warrant; on-call every 3 weeks for emergencies.
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO) a plus.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Performing minor repairs and maintenance.
• Completing a duties checklist to ensure vacant apartments are move-in ready.
• Walking the property grounds and common areas as well as picking up trash and debris.
• Performing any additional duties assigned by both the Community Manager and/or Service Supervisor.

Rate: $18.00- $19.00 per hour (Hourly non-exempt position)
Monthly renewal bonuses are paid in addition to base pay.

Work Days: Monday - Friday
Work Hours: 8:30 am - 5:30 pm; Weekends as circumstances warrant; on-call every 3 weeks for emergencies.
Required License or Certification: Valid TX Driver's License
