Job summary

Westdale is seeking a Service Technician I for our 232-unit apartment community in Arlington, TX. The role involves turning vacant units into ready-to-lease homes and maintaining common areas, with a focus on teamwork and customer service. The position is hourly and non-exempt, with on-call weekends as needed and benefits offered.

Shifts run 8:30 am–5:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with potential weekend on-call duties for emergencies. A valid Texas driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of maintenance experience on an apartment community.
• Bilingual English/Spanish required.
• Able to follow verbal and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Performing minor repairs and maintenance.
• Complete duties checklist to ensure vacant apartments are move-in ready.
• Walk property grounds and common areas, pick up trash and debris.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by Community Manager or Service Supervisor.

Rate: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour (Hourly non-exempt position)
Monthly renewal bonuses are paid in addition to base pay.

We are seeking a Service Technician I for our 232-unitapartment community conveniently nestled mid-cities, in Arlington, close to I-20 and Hwy 287! As Service Technician I, you will turn vacant units into beautiful apartments, preparing them for new residents to call home. You will also be responsible for the general upkeep of the property grounds and common areas. Requirements

• At least year of previous maintenance experience on an apartment community.


• Bilingual (English/Spanish).


• Must meet all physical requirements and be able to take direction.


• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.


• Must be able to work both independently and with a team in a fast-paced, customer service-oriented environment.


• Weekends as circumstances warrant; on-call on a rotating basis for emergencies.


• Certified Pool Operator (CPO) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Performing minor repairs and maintenance.


• Completing a duties checklist to ensure vacant apartments are move-in ready.


• Walking the property grounds and common areas as well as picking up trash and debris.


• Performing any additional duties assigned by both the Community Manager and/or Service Supervisor.
