Job summary

CWS Apartment Homes is seeking a Maintenance Technician to enhance community integrity while delivering excellent customer service. You will interact with residents and guests, perform make-ready tasks, and maintain common areas in a safety-conscious environment.

Responsibilities include completing service requests, managing inventory, and participating in safety programs. The role requires basic tools, a driver’s license, and availability for weekends or emergencies as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (preferred).
• Minimum 1 year previous experience in apartment maintenance or a trade that requires basic knowledge of electricity, plumbing, carpentry, painting and HVAC (preferred).
• Applicable certifications including but not limited to EPA, HVAC I & II, and CPO (required).
• Possess a valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance (required).
• Own basic set of hand tools (required).
• Able to read service requests, schedules, and regularly converse with team members, residents, and vendors in English.
• Basic computer skills
• Able to adhere to set and variable work schedules, including weekends and emergencies as required
• Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships
• Able to maintain a professional and ethical atmosphere
• Able to perform work responsibilities at locations other than
• Able to travel within major metropolitan areas and may be required to attend company functions in other cities
• Able to respond to emergency calls outside of normal business hours

• Prepare make-ready apartments
• Complete service requests

• Participate in preventative maintenance program
• Participate in resident satisfaction programs
• Communicate with customers, residents, investors, vendors, leadership, and CWS team members
• Participate in the CWS Risk Management and Safety Programs
