Job summary

CWS Apartment Homes is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure community operations comply with safety and quality standards. The role involves hands-on maintenance, interaction with residents, and support for safety programs across properties.

The technician will perform make-readies, service requests, and preventive maintenance while maintaining tools and inventory, and collaborating with teammates. Strong English communication and basic computer skills are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum 1 year experience in apartment maintenance or related trade.
• Certifications such as EPA, HVAC I & II, and CPO preferred/required.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance required.
• Own basic set of hand tools.
• Ability to read and discuss service requests in English.
• Able to work varied schedules including weekends and emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Prepare make-ready apartments.
• Complete service requests in a timely manner.
• Perform common area maintenance.
• Maintain inventory and shop organization.
• Participate in preventative maintenance program.
• Support resident satisfaction initiatives.
• Communicate with customers, residents, vendors, and team members.
• Respond to emergency calls as needed.
