Job summary

At CWS Apartment Homes, the Maintenance Technician helps preserve our communities and deliver exceptional resident service. You will perform make-ready tasks, complete service requests, and maintain common areas to keep operations smooth and safe.

The position requires basic trade knowledge, strong communication, and the ability to interact with residents and team members daily. This role may involve weekend or emergency call duties as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum 1 year experience in apartment maintenance or a trade with basic knowledge of electricity, plumbing, carpentry, painting and HVAC.
• EPA, HVAC I & II, and CPO certifications are required.
• Valid driver’s license and current auto insurance are required.
• Own basic set of hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Prepare make-ready apartments.
• Complete service requests.
• Perform common area maintenance.
• Maintain inventory and shop organization.
• Participate in preventative maintenance program.
• Participate in resident satisfaction programs.
• Communicate with customers, residents, investors, vendors, leadership, and CWS team members.
• Participate in the CWS Risk Management and Safety Programs.
