Job summary

Park Property Management Company is seeking an Apartment Maintenance Technician for The Coves in Palmyra, VA. You will assist the Maintenance Supervisor in keeping the property in top condition, handling plumbing, electrical, drywall, carpet, and appliance repairs, plus exterior upkeep.

You will respond to after-hours emergencies on a rotating basis, maintain accurate maintenance records, and support a welcoming living environment for residents. HVAC certification is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Caring attitude and pride in work.
• Self-motivated, hard-working and energetic.
• Experience in apartment maintenance or related field preferred.
• HVAC certification preferred.
• Skilled with power tools and basic technology (computers/tablets).
• Good people skills and friendly demeanor.
• Able to lift/carry up to 75 lbs frequently.
• Strong record-keeping and organization.
• Valid driver's license.
• Willingness to rotate after-hours on-call and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance tasks including plumbing, electrical, drywall, carpet, and appliance repairs.
• Maintain and improve common areas and exteriors to high standards.
• Respond to after-hours emergencies (on-call rotation).
• Delegate tasks to maintenance staff and ensure timely completion.
• Maintain records for work orders, parts, inventory, and follow-up.
• Foster a customer-focused environment for residents and team members.
• Participate in ongoing training through Park Academy.
• Other duties as assigned.
