Job summary

Pratum Companies is seeking an Apartment Maintenance Technician to diagnose problems, perform repairs, and handle service requests in a timely manner across our residential properties.

Responsibilities include assisting the Maintenance Supervisor with projects, completing make-ready work, preventive maintenance, emergency response, and inspections of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other systems. Strong written and verbal communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Three years of residential property maintenance experience
• Ability to read and write English fluently
• Able to work a rotating on-call schedule
• Strong ability to diagnose and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing and other systems
• Experience operating maintenance equipment and hand tools
• Excellent written and verbal communication

Responsibilities

• Assist the Maintenance Supervisor on special maintenance projects
• Complete resident service requests in a timely fashion
• Make-ready procedures: paint, appliance repair, plumbing, electrical fixtures, replace faulty parts
• Preventative maintenance and regular inspections of buildings, grounds, and major equipment
• Respond quickly in emergencies and follow safety protocols
• Inspect alarm systems and schedule repairs as needed
• Perform snow removal as required
• Perform other duties as assigned
