Job summary

Kairoi is seeking a Service Technician in Boulder, CO to respond to resident service requests, make-ready vacant apartments, and perform diverse maintenance tasks across the property. You will troubleshoot appliances, plumbing, electrical systems, and HVAC units while delivering exceptional customer service to residents.

The role involves coordinating with residents, maintaining common areas, and participating in after-hours on-call emergencies.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of apartment home repair experience including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical repairs.
• Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
• EPA and HVAC certifications or willingness to obtain them.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety rules and regulations.
• Excellent customer service and resident-focused approach.
• Flex schedule and on-call for emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Respond to resident service requests in a timely, respectful, and professional manner.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot maintenance issues, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance, and carpentry repairs.
• Perform repairs and replacements as needed, ensuring issues are resolved efficiently and effectively.
• Communicate with residents throughout the service process, keeping them informed of progress and estimated completion times.
• Assist in the make-ready process for vacant apartment homes, ensuring they are clean, functional, and aesthetically appealing for new residents.
• Maintain the overall appearance of the community, including grounds, common areas, and amenities.
• Participate in the on-call rotation for after-hour emergencies, responding to urgent maintenance issues as needed.
• Report any issues to the Service Manager for prompt resolution.
• Organize and inventory maintenance equipment, materials, and supplies.
• Keep maintenance shop and storage areas clean and well-maintained.
