Job summary

The Neiders Company in the Lakewood area is seeking a Maintenance Technician 2 to join our hands-on maintenance team across several apartment communities. You will perform plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry tasks while delivering legendary customer service.

Travel between properties is required; you must document work, follow safety standards, and respond promptly to resident requests with a solutions‑oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; CAMT, Type II EPA 608, CPO certifications preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of apartment maintenance experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and maintenance repair skills; proficient with Yardi and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Complete maintenance tasks accurately and efficiently within timeframes.
• Document work performed, parts used, and time in the maintenance system.
• Follow maintenance schedules and prioritize work orders by urgency and resident needs.
• Respond to resident maintenance requests courteously and promptly.
• Communicate clearly with residents about repairs and timelines.
• Perform routine and corrective maintenance: plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances.
• Carpentry tasks: drywall, countertops/cabinets, doors/locks, windows, framing.
• Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and follow safety procedures.
• Identify and report safety hazards; assist with property upkeep and inspections.
• Travel between assigned communities as required; work evenings/weekends/on‑call.
