Job summary

Monarch Investment and Management Group is seeking an Apartment Maintenance Technician for an on-site position at our Fitchburg, WI community. Responsibilities include repairs, unit preparation between tenants, and routine maintenance to uphold high standards.

The role offers a steady schedule (Mon-Fri 8-5 with on-call rotation), year-round work, and opportunities for overtime. Benefits include health/dental/life insurance, 401k with match, and generous paid time off.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• 1 year or more of apartment maintenance experience.
• Drywall work including painting and carpentry.
• Plumbing knowledge including sweating copper.
• Electrical knowledge including outlets, switches and fixtures.
• Appliance repair knowledge (refrigerators, stoves, dishwashers, garbage disposal).
• Water heater knowledge (electric and gas).

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders promptly based on priority.
• Make Ready / Turning Units between tenants.
• Painting/Staining interior and exterior surfaces.
• Exterior maintenance as needed.
• Must participate in on-call rotation.
• Snow removal during winter season.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8 AM to 5 PM day shift hours. On-call 1 week every 5 weeks!

Full Time - Year Round work. No layoffs and overtime potential available!

What you need:

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
• 1 years or more of experience in apartment maintenance
• Dry wall (repairs and new) including painting and carpentry
• Working knowledge of plumbing including sweating copper pipe
• Working knowledge of electrical including outlets, switches and light fixtures
• Working knowledge to repair and/or diagnose appliances including refrigerators, stoves, dishwashers and garbage disposal
• Water heater knowledge of both electric and gas

What Our Maintenance Techs Will Do:

• Ensure all work orders are completed in a timely manner based on priority
• Make Ready / Turning Units in between tenants
• Painting/Staining both interior and exterior applications
• Exterior structural maintenance as needed
• Must participate being on call (1 week every 5 weeks)
• Snow removal (when needed during the Winter season)

A maintenance skills assessment is administered during the interview process for this position.

This role requires pre-employment screenings, including a criminal background check, a drug screening and a valid driver’s license required.
