Job summary

Monarch Investment And Management Group is seeking an Apartment Maintenance Technician for our Fitchburg, WI community. This role offers full-time year-round work with on-call rotations, benefits, and opportunities for growth within a nationwide portfolio.

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of apartment maintenance experience, basic drywall, painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and appliance repair skills, plus a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
• 1 year or more of experience in apartment maintenance.
• Dry wall repairs and painting/carpentry.
• Working knowledge of plumbing including sweating copper pipe.
• Working knowledge of electrical including outlets, switches and fixtures.
• Able to repair/diagnose appliances including refrigerators, stoves, dishwashers and garbage disposal.
• Water heater knowledge of both electric and gas.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all work orders are completed in a timely manner based on priority.
• Make Ready / Turning Units in between tenants.
• Painting/Staining both interior and exterior applications.
• Exterior structural maintenance as needed.
• Must participate in being on call (1 week every 5 weeks).
• Snow removal during the winter season.

Schedule:

Monday - Friday 8 AM to 5 PM day shift hours. On-call 1 week every 5 weeks! Full Time - Year Round work. No layoffs and overtime potential available!

What you need:

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
• 1 years or more of experience in apartment maintenance
• Dry wall (repairs and new) including painting and carpentry
• Working knowledge of plumbing including sweating copper pipe
• Working knowledge of electrical including outlets, switches and light fixtures
• Working knowledge to repair and/or diagnose appliances including refrigerators, stoves, dishwashers and garbage disposal
• Water heater knowledge of both electric and gas

What Our Maintenance Techs Will Do:

• Ensure all work orders are completed in a timely manner based on priority
• Make Ready / Turning Units in between tenants
• Painting/Staining both interior and exterior applications
• Exterior structural maintenance as needed
• Must participate being on call (1 week every 5 weeks)
• Snow removal (when needed during the Winter season)

A maintenance skills assessment is administered during the interview process for this position.

This role requires pre-employment screenings, including a criminal background check, a drug screening and a v alid driver’s license required.
