Monarch Investment And Management Group in Fitchburg, WI is seeking an Apartment Maintenance Technician for an on-site role. The position offers a day shift schedule from Monday to Friday, with 1 week on-call every five weeks and year-round full-time employment with potential overtime.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in apartment maintenance.
• Dry wall repairs and painting and carpentry.
• Working knowledge of plumbing including sweating copper pipe.
• Working knowledge of electrical including outlets, switches and light fixtures.
• Ability to repair or diagnose appliances (refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, disposal).
• Water heater knowledge for electric and gas models.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all work orders are completed in a timely manner based on priority.
• Make Ready / Turning Units in between tenants.
• Painting/Staining interior and exterior surfaces.
• Exterior structural maintenance as needed.
• Participate in on-call rotation (1 week every 5 weeks).
• Snow removal during winter as needed.

Schedule:

Monday - Friday 8 AM to 5 PM day shift hours. On-call 1 week every 5 weeks! Full Time - Year Round work. No layoffs and overtime potential available!

What you need:

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
• 1 years or more of experience in apartment maintenance
• Dry wall (repairs and new) including painting and carpentry
• Working knowledge of plumbing including sweating copper pipe
• Working knowledge of electrical including outlets, switches and light fixtures
• Working knowledge to repair and/or diagnose appliances including refrigerators, stoves, dishwashers and garbage disposal
• Water heater knowledge of both electric and gas

What Our Maintenance Techs Will Do:

• Ensure all work orders are completed in a timely manner based on priority
• Make Ready / Turning Units in between tenants
• Painting/Staining both interior and exterior applications
• Exterior structural maintenance as needed
• Must participate being on call (1 week every 5 weeks)
• Snow removal (when needed during the Winter season)

A maintenance skills assessment is administered during the interview process for this position.

This role requires pre-employment screenings, including a criminal background check, a drug screening and a v alid driver’s license required.
