Weidner Apartment Homes is seeking a Service Technician 1 in Colorado Springs to prepare vacant units for occupancy and provide timely maintenance to residents. You will handle painting, drywall repairs, electrical/plumbing tasks, carpentry, and interior/exterior painting while maintaining service standards and safety. Vehicle use and on-call rotation are required.

The role emphasizes customer service, teamwork, and supporting property improvements across communities within the portfolio.

Qualifications

• 1+ years maintenance experience required.
• 1+ years of painting and drywall repairs preferred.
• Solid mechanical aptitude and knowledge of building systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vacant apartments for occupancy including painting and repairs.
• Perform basic system repairs on electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
• Carry out carpentry, drywall, and interior/exterior painting tasks.
• Learn to apply paint sheen and color appropriately.
• Conduct daily maintenance tasks and respond to resident requests.
• Assist with grounds maintenance and property improvements.
