Job summary

Weidner Apartment Homes in Wisconsin is seeking a Service Technician 1 to prepare vacant apartments for occupancy and provide timely, quality maintenance for residents and the community.

You will work in both vacant and occupied units performing painting, drywall repairs, basic system repairs, and preventive maintenance while upholding safety and customer service standards. This role requires reliability and teamwork.

Qualifications

• :1+ years maintenance experience required.
• 1+ years painting and drywall repairs preferred.
• Solid mechanical aptitude required.
• Able to lift and carry up to 80 pounds/36.3 kilograms, climb ladders and stairs.
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC and pool systems is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vacant apartments for occupancy including painting, drywall repair, trash out and maintenance.
• Perform basic system repairs on electrical, plumbing, water heaters, HVAC, and appliances.
• Conduct carpentry, drywall repairs and interior/exterior painting as needed.
• Perform daily resident service requests with moderate supervision.
• Maintain pools, logs, and grounds as directed by city ordinances and company policy.
• Join on-call rotation and travel between properties as required.
