Job summary

Weidner Apartment Homes is seeking a Service Technician 1 in Anchorage to prepare vacant apartments for occupancy and provide timely maintenance services. You will handle painting, drywall, carpentry, electrical and plumbing tasks, plus routine repairs on HVAC, boilers, and appliances.

You must lift heavy loads, work outdoors in all weather, and travel between properties using your own vehicle. On-call rotation and benefits support your growth within a national property company.

Qualifications

• 1+ years maintenance experience required.
• 1+ years painting and drywall repairs preferred.
• Solid mechanical aptitude required.
• Able to lift and carry up to 80 pounds/36.3 kg.
• Able to use appliance dolly; push/pull up to 200 pounds/90.7 kg.
• Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, pools, appliances, and HVAC systems.
• EPA certification desired.
• Experience with Microsoft Suite; Yardi/Paycom experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vacant apartments for occupancy: painting, drywall, repairs.
• Perform repairs on electrical, plumbing, boilers, water heaters, HVAC, and appliances.
• Carpentry, drywall, painting, interior/exterior work.
• Flooring: plank, vinyl, carpet repairs; basic maintenance tasks.
• Conduct daily maintenance tasks and respond to service requests.
• Assist with pool maintenance and grounds upkeep as needed.
• Use company apps and drive between properties; participate in on-call rotation.
