Job summary

Weidner Apartment Homes in Seattle, WA is seeking a Service Technician 1 to prepare vacant apartments for occupancy and deliver quality maintenance for our residents. You will perform painting, drywall repairs, plumbing/electrical tasks, and basic system fixes with attention to safety and efficiency.

You will work independently and as part of a team, manage time effectively, and participate in on-call rotations, while upholding our commitment to excellent service and asset preservation.

Qualifications

• 1+ years maintenance experience required.
• 1+ years of painting and drywall repairs preferred.
• Solid mechanical aptitude required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vacant apartments for occupancy including painting, drywall repair, trash out, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical repairs.
• Perform basic system repairs on electrical, plumbing, hot water heaters, HVAC systems, appliances, etc.
• Perform detailed work with carpentry, drywall repairs and interior/exterior painting, etc.
• Learn to distinguish when full-paint or touch-up paint is needed and identify paint sheen and color.
• Perform repairs on flooring (plank, vinyl, carpet).
• Perform service requests for residents daily with moderate supervision.
• Perform preventative maintenance as assigned.
• Clean pools and monitor chemical balance; maintain logs as required by city ordinances, where applicable.
• Perform daily grounds maintenance and snow removal where applicable.
• Participate in property improvements and preventive maintenance tasks; use company phone and travel between properties.
• Be on-call rotation as scheduled; assist maintenance team as needed.
