Birge & Held Group LLC in Kokomo, IN, is hiring a Service Technician I to support daily maintenance of apartment communities and ensure resident satisfaction. You will report to the Operations Manager and handle basic HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and structural tasks.

The role emphasizes safety, timely work order completion, and proactive maintenance to preserve property appearance and functionality. On-site responsibilities include grounds maintenance and seasonal tasks, with an on-call rotation

Formación

• Formal technical training or equivalent experience in heating and air conditioning is preferred.
• EPA refrigerant handling certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
• HVAC certification preferred.
• Travel between properties requires valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Proficiency with OSHA and safety standards is expected.

Responsabilidades

• Inspect buildings and common areas for cleanliness, safety, and condition.
• Perform basic repairs and maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and structural systems.
• Complete work orders within 48 hours, or as directed by supervision.
• Ensure unit turnovers are completed within five working days when possible.
• Provide daily progress updates and coordinate with operations team.
• Maintain grounds and common areas, and assist with seasonal tasks as needed.
• Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies.
