Job summary

Weidner Apartment Homes in Anthem, AZ is seeking a Service Technician 1 to prepare vacant apartments and perform maintenance tasks across our community. You will handle painting, drywall repairs, electrical and plumbing work, and basic system maintenance to ensure readiness for occupancy.

The role requires independence, time management, and a teamwork mindset. You’ll coordinate with residents and vendors, log activities, and participate in on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• 1+ years maintenance experience required.
• Experience with painting and drywall repairs preferred.
• Solid mechanical aptitude and problem solving.
• Able to lift up to 80 lbs and work outdoors.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Must pass background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vacant apartments for occupancy, including painting and repairs.
• Perform basic systems repairs (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliances).
• Complete carpentry, drywall, and interior/exterior painting tasks.
• Maintain safety, logs, and quality standards.
• Assist residents and coordinate with vendors as needed.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
• Participate in on-call rotation.
