Job summary

AIR Communities is hiring an Apartment Maintenance Technician at Haven 124. This full-time, on-site role supports residents by performing preventive and corrective maintenance across apartment homes, ensuring move-in readiness and safety.

You will troubleshoot plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance issues, coordinate with vendors as needed, and mentor newer technicians. A flexible schedule with on-call shifts is required, along with a strong customer-service mindset.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of maintenance experience, preferably in facilities or building environment.
• Proficient in at least two technical trades (plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, HVAC, carpentry).
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts.
• Reliable transportation to respond to emergencies after hours.
• Comfort with physical activity and ability to move heavy equipment.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent service to residents and assist team members.
• Perform basic apartment turns to prepare units for new residents.
• Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical components, HVAC equipment, and appliances.
• May train other Maintenance Technicians and support skill development.
• May assist with vendor coordination and move-in/move-out inspections.
