Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a Seattle-area property. The role performs technical and mechanical work to keep buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas clean, safe, and functional according to company standards.

Responsibilities include handling work orders, completing make-ready tasks, managing materials, and assisting with inspections. Requires EPA refrigerant certification and a valid driver’s license for on-property driving and equipment use.

Qualifications

• OSHA safety training or equivalent is required.
• Must adhere to safety procedures and policies at all times.
• EPA refrigerant certification (Type 1/II or Universal) is required for technicians.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders from residents and perform preventative maintenance.
• Execute make-ready tasks to prepare vacant units for leasing and move-ins.
• Access materials from the maintenance dept., track inventory, and reorder as needed.
• Document work and keep records up to date for service requests.
• Maintain grounds, common areas, and amenities; perform cleaning and basic repairs.
• Support cost-control by repairing rather than replacing when feasible.
