Job summary

The Goodman Group, LLC is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support our community by maintaining appearance and completing scheduled maintenance repairs. You will assist with apartment turns, respond to service requests, and help keep grounds clean and safe.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma and 1+ year maintenance experience, with ability to obtain required certifications. This is a day shift role—Mon-Fri, 8 AM to 4 PM, paying $17.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must meet all applicable state and federal requirements for this position.
• High School Diploma or its equivalent.
• One or more years of prior experience in general maintenance or a combination of education and experience in a directly related field preferred.
• Ability to attend and pass company paid certification courses (E.g.: pool operators, boilers license and EPA certification).

Responsibilities

• Ensure the physical aspects of the apartment meets company standards. Make repairs as directed and track accomplishments.
• Assist with completing timely apartment-ready turns. Conduct repairs, paint, clean the apartment(s) and other miscellaneous tasks as necessary or as directed.
• Complete maintenance service requests, document the status of each request and ensure that appropriate follow-through occurs.
• Assist with maintenance related repairs as directed. (E.g., repair appliances, fixtures, plumbing, replace/repair fittings, faucets/toilets, glass, tile, carpet, etc.)
• Complete daily maintenance of grounds and communal areas (lighting, snow removal and trash removal).
• Perform snow and ice removal including snow blowing, shoveling, salt, and removing ice build-up on sidewalks and walkways.
