Job summary

Community Housing Partners is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician II at Linden Green Apartments in Christiansburg, VA. The role offers a starting pay of $24/hour plus overtime and bonus potential, with a Monday–Friday schedule and an on-call rotation.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of maintenance experience in building systems.
  • Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building maintenance.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Trade training or certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and complete routine and moderately complex repairs across building systems.
  • Respond to resident service requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled inspections.
  • Maintain appearance and functionality of buildings, grounds, and common areas.
  • Complete apartment turnovers within established timelines.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to emergency maintenance issues.
  • Assist with vendor and contractor coordination as needed.
  • Maintain accurate work order documentation using mobile maintenance software.
  • Follow all safety procedures, OSHA requirements, and company policies.
