Job summary

Community Housing Partners is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to diagnose and repair building systems across our affordable housing communities in Broadway, VA. You will respond to resident requests, perform preventative maintenance, and help keep common areas safe and well-maintained.

The role offers a Monday–Friday schedule, on-call rotation, and opportunities for training, with benefits starting early and a retirement plan. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of maintenance experience.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Trade training or certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and complete routine and moderately complex repairs across building systems.
• Respond to resident service requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled inspections.
• Maintain the appearance and functionality of buildings, grounds, and common areas.
• Complete apartment turnovers within established timelines.
• Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to emergency maintenance issues.
• Assist with vendor and contractor coordination as needed.
• Maintain accurate work order documentation using mobile maintenance software.
