Monarch Investment and Management Group in Bismarck, ND is hiring a Maintenance Technician. Join a growing team and help keep multifamily properties in top condition while building hands-on skills across plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, and HVAC.

The role offers Monday–Friday 8:00 am–5:00 pm with on-call rotation every 3–4 weeks, plus strong benefits including paid training, PTO, and retirement options.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or by experience.
• 1+ year in the maintenance field; reliability and safety mindset.
• Basic drywall, painting, carpentry skills; light plumbing/electrical.
• HVAC experience preferred; EPA Universal certification a plus.
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders promptly based on priority.
• Turn and prepare units between tenants.
• Repair property systems: plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, HVAC.
• Assist preventative maintenance as assigned.
• Handle exterior maintenance and grounds tasks as needed.
• Support 24/7 on-call coverage as required.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, On-Call rotation 1 week every 3-4 weeks

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders in a timely manner based on priority
• Turn and make units ready between tenant occupancy
• Perform repairs in property and apartment plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, and HVAC
• Assist in preventative maintenance as assigned
• Perform exterior structural maintenance as needed
• Assist in property grounds maintenance
• Assist in coverage of a 24/7 emergency on-call system

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1+ year experience in the maintenance field required
• Basic knowledge of drywall, painting, and carpentry experience
• Light plumbing and electrical experience
• HVAC experience and EPA Universal certification a plus
• Boiler experience a plus
• Working knowledge of appliances to include washers and dryers
• Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation
