Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician in Austin to maintain and repair the physical aspects of the property, ensuring cleanliness, safety, and functionality. You will perform routine maintenance, handle tenant requests, and support make-ready preparations for new move-ins at Greystar-managed communities.

The role requires EPA refrigerant certifications, state/local certifications as required, and a valid driver’s license for on-site operations.

Qualifications

• EPA certifications Type I and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling (Applies to Certified Service Technicians).
• Certifications as required by State and Local jurisdictions (Applies to all Service Technicians).
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property depending on property size, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and making repairs per policy and safety standards.
• Completes the make-ready process to prepare vacant apartments for leasing and move-ins, including inspections and scheduling vendors.
• Tracks inventory, returns unused items, and notifies supervisor about re-ordering needs.
• Documents service requests timely and accurately for proper tracking.
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities by cleaning, painting curbs/signage, and debris removal.
• Supports cost-control by fixing rather than replacing parts when possible.
