Peabody Properties seeks an experienced Maintenance Technician to join its team at apartment communities in Salem, MA. The role requires responding to a broad range of maintenance needs and assisting the Service Manager with efficient operation.

Responsibilities include electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliance repair, locks/keys, carpentry, painting, janitorial work, and grounds maintenance. On-call coverage after hours is expected. A clean driving record and reliable vehicle are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in facilities maintenance and property management is a plus.
• Effective English communication (written and verbal) is required.
• Solid computer skills and customer service orientation are essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliance repair and general maintenance tasks.
• Respond to issues promptly and document repairs.
• Assist Service Manager with property operations and upkeep of common areas.
• Maintain exterior grounds per company standards and perform janitorial duties.
• Provide on-call coverage for emergencies after hours, weekends and holidays.
