Job summary

Southern Management Companies seeks an Apartment Maintenance Service Technician (M3) in Oxon Hill, MD. This full-time role ensures the physical assets meet company standards and applicable laws through hands-on diagnostics and repairs.

You will diagnose and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, and appliances, perform preventive maintenance, participate in on-call rotation, and document work orders with precision. Valid driver's license and own vehicle required.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in maintenance related field(s).
• Successful completion of Basic Electric class offered at SMC internal training facility
• Successful completion off all other basic maintenance classes offered internally and all on-the-job training within one year of hire date

Responsibilities

• Diagnose problems and make repairs in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, and appliances.
• Provide hands-on troubleshooting and repair across building systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and on-call duties as scheduled.
• Address service requests, document work orders, and maintain inventory of supplies.
