Job summary

Arcan Capital seeks a Lead Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair our apartment communities across the Southeast. You will handle a wide range of interior and exterior duties under the Maintenance Supervisor, addressing resident service requests and ensuring safety standards.

With a focus on craftsmanship and problem-solving, you will help deliver superior customer service and uphold our engaging company culture. HVAC/EPA/CPO certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• HVAC certified with advanced knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry and mechanical systems.
• Strong customer service skills with a passion for assisting residents.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including on-call hours, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepares Market Ready apartments with painting, carpet repairs, cleaning and general repairs.
• Perform routine interior and exterior maintenance as scheduled; painting, snow/ice removal, gutter cleaning, filters, etc.
• Repair on community equipment including plumbing, lighting, A/C, electrical, carpentry and mechanical tasks.
• Respond to resident service requests and maintenance concerns promptly and professionally.
• Report maintenance concerns to Maintenance Supervisor for vacant units, models, common areas and equipment.
• Maintain resident privacy and control access to units.
• Ensure safe storage of maintenance items and safety for residents, staff, and visitors.
• Deliver superior customer service and represent the company professionally.
• Attend in-service training and education sessions as assigned.
• Coordinate with vendors for landscaping, painting asphalt, etc.
• Adhere to state, local and federal fair housing laws and OSHA requirements.
