Job summary

Apartment Management Consultants (AMC) is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Community Manager in overseeing financial and operational aspects of the community. Responsibilities include file management, customer service, rent collection, evictions, and data entry into PM software.

The role requires customer service experience, 6 months in property management, and strong communication. Candidates should be organized and professional in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience required.
• At least 6 months in property management preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee file management and run assigned reports.
• Provide customer service and sales techniques; respond to resident requests.
• Collect all monies due; oversee evictions, skips, and move-outs; walk units to evaluate occupancy.
• Communicate with outside legal counsel during eviction processes.
• Finalize move in/out and renewals; enter data into PM software.
• Oversee renter’s insurance procedures.
• Collect deposits and process applications.
• Ensure model/target apartments are ready for showing and maintain a clean workspace.
• Maintain knowledge of lease terms, unit specs, availability, market conditions, and company policies.
• Maintain contact with apartment locators and local businesses for informational materials.
• Market outreach and competitive property analysis.
• Develop and maintain resident retention programs.
• Report unusual circumstances regarding property or residents.
• Maintain professional appearance and conduct.
