Job summary

Accessible Space in Shakopee, MN is seeking a part-time Property Caretaker/maintenance person for our apartment building. The role focuses on keeping a clean, safe environment and performing minor repairs.

You'll handle unit turnovers, routine maintenance checks, inspections, and coordinate bids for contracted work. After-hours emergency calls may be required.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in performing minor building and maintenance repairs.
• Work independently.
• Effective communicate orally and in writing.
• Ability to effectively and appropriately interact with individuals.
• Availability to complete general work responsibilities Monday through Friday between the hours of 7am and 6pm.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Complete minor building and unit maintenance repairs.
• Do all duties related to unit turnovers.
• Carry out ongoing routine maintenance and prevention checks.
• Implement required unit and building inspections.
• Perform routine errands.
• Obtain bids on contracted maintenance and repair work.
• Answer after-hours emergency calls promptly (within 15 minutes) and take appropriate action, when necessary.
