Job summary

Accessible Space is seeking a part-time Property Caretaker / maintenance professional to join our team at the Shakopee, MN apartment building. You’ll keep the property clean, safe, and well-maintained, and carry out routine repairs.

This is a Monday–Friday daytime role with on-site work. You will handle unit turnovers, inspections, bids for contracted work, and respond to after-hours emergencies as needed. Benefits include PTO, holiday pay, life insurance, and a 403b retirement plan.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in performing minor building and maintenance repairs.
• Work independently.
• Effective communicate orally and in writing.
• Ability to interact appropriately with individuals.
• Availability to work Monday through Friday between 7am and 6pm.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Complete minor building and unit maintenance repairs.
• Do all duties related to unit turnovers.
• Carry out ongoing routine maintenance and prevention checks.
• Implement required unit and building inspections.
• Perform routine errands.
• Obtain bids on contracted maintenance and repair work.
• Answer after-hours emergency calls promptly (within 15 minutes) and take appropriate action.
