Job summary

Zekelman Industries is seeking an AP Vendor Master Data Clerk to maintain accurate vendor master data across Pipe & Tube systems. You will support onboarding, record maintenance, regulatory reporting, and Accounts Payable operations while upholding company policies and audit requirements.

Responsibilities include creating vendor records, processing changes, ensuring documentation is approved and audit-ready, and aligning records across systems. Strong Excel and attention to detail are essential.

About The Role

The AP Vendor Master Data Clerk will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of vendor master data across Pipe & Tube systems. This role will support vendor onboarding, vendor record maintenance, regulatory reporting, and Accounts Payable operations while ensuring adherence to company policies and audit requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and maintain vendor master records in Pipe & Tube systems.
• Process vendor additions, updates, and changes in accordance with company policies and internal controls.
• Ensure all vendor documentation is properly approved, retained, and audit-ready.
• Maintain consistency of shared vendor records across systems, including payment terms and payment methods.
• Review inactive vendors and block or flag for deletion when unused for two years to reduce risk.
• Support annual 1099 and 1042 reporting processes for all Pipe & Tube entities.
• Provide backup support for Accounts Payable during vacations and peak workload periods.
• Provide backup support for Concur and Bank of America administrator responsibilities as needed.
• Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred.
• Experience in Accounts Payable, vendor master data management, or accounting preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of internal controls, documentation standards, and audit requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
