Job summary

Houston Methodist seeks an Accounts Payable Systems Analyst to manage daily AP systems, ensure controls, and drive process improvements. You will evaluate new technologies, test system changes, and document procedures to support compliance reporting for IRS and State of Texas.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, IT or related field plus 3 years AP experience, with strong ERP knowledge and excellent communication skills. This is an on-site role within the Houston area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience for role.
• Three years experience in accounts payable and business analysis.
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems and supplier maintenance.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Ability to work independently in a rapidly changing environment.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with IT and business stakeholders to support and maintain AP systems.
• Document AP applications, business flow, and integration with other systems; create guides and maintain docs.
• Conduct testing of system changes and enhancements prior to production and during upgrades.
• Meet compliance reporting requirements (IRS and State of Texas).
• Provide ongoing education and training to AP staff on system changes and implementations.
