Job summary

KBW Financial Staffing & Recruiting is seeking an Accounts Payable Supervisor in Newton, MA. This role reports to the Accounting Manager and will mentor junior staff in a fast-paced environment.

You will manage a high volume of invoices, lead month-end close for accounts payable, drive process improvements, and ensure internal controls with external auditors.

Experience in large organizations and proficiency with accounting software and Excel are preferred.

Back AP Supervisor

Accounts Payable Manager Newton , Massachusetts Perm 80000 Sep 16, 2026 $80000.00 - $90000.00

A fortune 500 company in the greater Boston area is actively seeking an Accounts Payable Supervisor. The Accounts Payable Supervisor will report directly to the Accounting Manager and should have prior experience mentoring/leading junior staff. This is a very fast-paced/ dynamic environment so prior experience in larger organizations is a key to success.

Responsibilities

• Prior experience managing a team of specialists
• Managing a high volume of invoices in a transactional environment
• Manage month end for accounts payables (reviewing check lists to ensure everything is completed on time)
• Prior experience processing high volume invoices/ working in a dynamic AP environment
• Manage KPIs and the escalation & issue resolution process
• Driving process improvements/ assisting with automation across the AP function
• Develop and enhance current processes
• Maintain strong internal controls for all federal and state guidelines
• Act as liaison for internal/external auditors

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in accounting, finance or business related field
• 3+ years of Managing an AP team
• Experienced working in a large dynamic organization
• Proficient in Microsoft office suite as well as utilizing accounting software
• Detail oriented with the ability to multitask in a busy environment
• Strong decision making and organizational skills

Compensation for this role is between 75-90K depending on experience.
