Job summary

Foster Poultry Farms invites applications for a six‑month accounts payable assignment based in Livingston, CA. You will research and resolve invoice discrepancies, manage vendor credits, and reconcile goods receipts against invoices to ensure timely payments.

Collaboration with Sourcing and Operations is essential to keep aging to a minimum. Candidates should have a high school diploma with at least one year of accounting experience; SAP, Excel, and Outlook are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; 1+ year accounting experience preferred.
• Accounts payable knowledge is a plus.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies between internal teams (Sourcing and Operations) and vendors.
• Resolve vendor credit holds promptly to maintain payment timeliness.
• Reconcile GR/IR (goods receipts/invoice receipts) and ensure accurate postings.
• Review vendor statements to identify open invoices and minimize aged items.
• Communicate with vendors regarding payment issues and corrective actions.
• Maintain good relations with Sourcing team and vendors; provide weekly parked report updates.

Job description

Pay range is $21.30-$25.10 per hour

Essential Job Functions:

• Expected duration of assignment is 6 months.
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies both internally (Sourcing and Operations Team Members) and externally for assigned vendors
• Resolve vendor credit holds immediately
• Reconcile GR/IR (goods receipts/invoice receipts)
• Work off vendor statements to identify open invoices; keep aged, parked invoices to minimal
• Communicate with vendors on payment and corrective actions with issues causing invoices to be paid timely
• Maintain good communication/relationship with Sourcing Team as well as vendors
• Update and distribute the weekly parked document report
• Special projects as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma and at least 1 year of accounting experience required, Accounts Payable knowledge preferred.
• Computer skills (SAP, Excel, and Outlook).
• Good organizational abilities, detail oriented.
• Good verbal and written communication, strong interpersonal skills.
• Ten-key by touch.
• Accounting background or mathematical aptitude desirable.
• Ability to work well independently and be self-motivated and have good attitude.
• Ability to work under pressure with high volume
