Job summary

Foster Poultry Farms in Livingston, CA is seeking an accounts payable clerk to manage daily inbox, prioritize inquiries, and batch invoices for timely routing through the workflow. The ideal candidate has 1 year of accounting experience, proficiency in SAP, Excel, and Outlook, and strong attention to detail.

You will communicate with vendors, support the Sourcing team, and help keep payment processes efficient in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Review AP inbox daily and prioritize inquiries for timely routing.
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies with vendors and internal teams.
• Resolve vendor credit holds promptly.
• Reconcile GR/IR and vendor statements to minimize aged invoices.
• Communicate payment issues and corrective actions to vendors.
• Maintain relationships with Sourcing and vendor teams.
• Update weekly parked document report.
• Contribute to special projects as assigned.

Job description

Pay range is $21.30-$25.10 per hour

Essential Job Functions:

• Review Accounts Payable Department inbox daily, prioritize and respond to inquiries, and batch invoices to ensure timely routing through the workflow for processing.


• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies both internally (Sourcing and Operations Team Members) and externally for assigned vendors


• Resolve vendor credit holds immediately


• Reconcile GR/IR (goods receipts/invoice receipts)


• Work off vendor statements to identify open invoices; keep aged, parked invoices to minimal


• Communicate with vendors on payment and corrective actions with issues causing invoices to be paid timely


• Maintain good communication/relationship with Sourcing Team as well as vendors


• Update and distribute the weekly parked document report


• Special projects as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma and at least 1 year of accounting experience required, Accounts Payable knowledge preferred.


• Computer skills (SAP, Excel, and Outlook).


• Good organizational abilities, detail oriented.


• Good verbal and written communication, strong interpersonal skills.


• Ten-key by touch.


• Accounting background or mathematical aptitude desirable.


• Ability to work well independently and be self-motivated and have good attitude.


• Ability to work under pressure with high volume
