Job summary

BWX Technologies, Inc. in Erwin, TN is seeking an Accounts Payable Accounting Clerk to handle invoice processing, matching, and documentation. You will participate in period-end close and assist with audits, ensuring timely, accurate payments in a high-volume environment.

The role requires an Associate's degree in Accounting and at least 2 years of AP experience, with proficiency in Excel, Word, and AP automation tools; SAP experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Accounting or related field required.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in accounts payable.
• Strong work ethic with organizational abilities and procedures.
• Proficient in Excel, Word and AP automation tools.
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Review invoices for documentation and approvals per payment terms.
• Scan invoices into AP automation tool and perform 3-way PO matching.
• Respond to employee and vendor inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain files in accordance with company policy and accounting practices.
• Assist in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing.
• Support internal and external audit requests related to AP.
