Job summary

BWX Technologies, Inc. in Erwin, TN is seeking an AP Accounting Clerk to support the Accounts Payable function, process invoices, and help with period-end activities. You will work onsite in Erwin, TN, ensuring timely payments and accurate documentation.

The role requires an Associate's degree in accounting or related field and at least 2 years in AP, with proficiency in Excel, Word, and AP automation tools. SAP experience is a plus, and U.S. citizenship with potential DOE clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in accounting, business, finance or related field.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in accounts payable.
• Proficient with Excel, Word and AP automation tools.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain DOE clearance.
• Excellent organizational and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Review invoices for documentation and approvals before payment.
• Scan invoices into A/P automation tool and perform 3-way PO matching.
• Respond to employee and vendor inquiries; research and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain files and documentation per company policy.
• Assist in month, quarter and year-end closing.
• Assist with audits and other accounting projects as needed.
