Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking an Accounts Payable professional for a permanent, onsite role in Millington, TN. The candidate will manage a high-volume AP inbox, process invoices with proper GL coding, and reconcile company credit cards.

You will also match invoices to POs and handle vendor communications to resolve discrepancies, supporting month-end close as needed. Ideal applicants bring 2+ years of AP experience in high-volume environments, strong Excel skills, and excellent attention to detail

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience in a high-volume or shared services environment.
• Proven experience with invoice processing, PO matching, and discrepancy resolution.
• Hands-on experience with ACH and check payment processing.
• Experience reconciling company credit cards and managing supporting documentation.
• Strong research, problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with vendors and internal teams.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Working knowledge of accounting systems and AP software.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general office tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor a high-volume Accounts Payable inbox; triage and respond to vendor and internal inquiries.
• Process vendor invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper documentation, GL coding, and approvals.
• Reconcile company credit card statements: collect receipts, obtain expense codes, and upload supporting documentation.
• Match vendor invoices to purchase orders (POs); identify and research mismatches and coordinate fixes with internal departments.
• Communicate directly with vendors to request missing documentation, resolve discrepancies, and answer payment related questions.
• Assist with month-end close activities, including statement reconciliations when applicable.
