Addison Group in Orlando, FL is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist II for a fully in-office, contract-to-hire role. The position handles a high-volume AP workload, around 200+ invoices daily, with month-end close responsibilities and strong Excel needs.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in AP, an Associate degree, and familiarity with PO matching. Compensation ranges $22–$26 per hour on a 40-hour workweek, with medical/dental/vision and 401(k) benefits provided.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience, preferably in a high-volume environment.
• Process 200+ invoices daily in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong experience with purchase orders, invoice matching, and resolving discrepancies.
• Associate degree required.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs.
• Deadline-driven with significant transaction volume.
• Healthcare or hospital accounting experience is a major plus.
• Available during month-end close, especially early and late weeks.

Responsibilities

• Process a high volume of vendor invoices — 200+ per day — accurately and on time.
• Review invoices against PO and receiving docs for proper three-way matching.
• Research and resolve discrepancies related to pricing, quantities, or POs.
• Verify invoice coding and enter transactions into the AP system.
• Process vendor payments and assist with timely payments.
• Reconcile AP transactions and research unusual items.
• Communicate with vendors and internal teams about status and questions.
• Support month-end close activities and AP reporting.
• Utilize Excel to analyze AP data with Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs.
• Maintain AP documentation to support audits and internal controls.
