Job summary

The Related Group is a national real estate leader with a strong construction accounting function seeking an Accounts Payable professional. The role supports timely invoice processing, vendor communications, and project payments across leasing and services.

A bilingual English/Spanish candidate with AP/accounting experience is preferred to join a fast-paced finance team. Based in Miami, the position offers opportunities within a growing portfolio of luxury developments and mixed-use projects,

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Accounts Payable or Accounting experience.
• Bilingual English and Spanish required.
• Experience with Purchase Orders and AIA contracts is a plus.
• Knowledge of Yardi accounting software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare invoices for entry (matching to purchase orders, code to schedule of values).
• Oversee recurring project payments (leases, utilities, services)
• Reconcile monthly statements
• Manage and maintain daily work queues
• Supervise incoming AP email inbox and mail
• Handle all vendor correspondence via phone or email
• Investigate and resolve AP processing and vendor/subcontractor issues
• Support Construction Accounting Department with duties
• Prepare lien releases and forward to Vendors/Subs
• Maintain project general condition payments current
• Communicate with subcontractors regarding missing/pending documents
• Research and resolve accounts payable issues with internal departments and vendors
• Maintain AP records and files
• Analyze & Reconcile AP GL Accounts monthly by entity

Job Duties:

• Prepare invoices for entry (matching to purchase orders, code to corresponding schedule of values budget line).
• Oversee recurring project payments (leases, utilities, and services)
• Reconciling monthly statements
• Manage and maintain daily work queues.
• Supervise incoming AP email inbox and mail
• Handle all vendor correspondence via phone or email
• Investigate and resolve problems associated with the AP processing and vendors/subcontractor issues
• Perform other duties as required to support the Construction Accounting Department
• Timely prepare releases of liens and send to Vendors/Subs
• Maintain project general condition payments current (i.e. leases, utilities and services)
• Communicate with subcontractors regarding missing/pending documents
• Research and resolve accounts payable issues with internal departments and vendors
• Maintain AP records and files
• Analyze & Reconcile AP GL Accts monthly by entity

Qualifications:

• 2 + years of Accounts Payable or Accounting experience
• Bilingual (English and Spanish) required
• Experience in Construction is a plus
• Experience working with Purchase Orders and A1A Contracts
• Knowledge of Yardi accounting software preferred
• Effective team player and able to work independently
• Enjoys a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Adapts to changing business priorities and timelines
• Meticulous with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Customer-oriented with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
