Job Description

The AP Clerk III position requires proficiency in transactional business processes such as Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Payroll, with a heavy emphasis on Accounts Payable. The representative will perform a variety of routine accounting functions under general supervision and in accordance with standard procedures. The successful incumbent will effectively confer with managerial or technical personnel, other departments, or contractors to resolve problems.

Please note this is a contract role for 6 months.

Responsibilities
  1. Manage full-cycle billing processes weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly, including setup, reconciliation, invoicing to clients, and collections.
  2. Ensure the setup of business processes to meet contractual obligations.
  3. Research source documents and prepare simple accounting reports.
  4. Respond to queries accurately, efficiently, and in a timely manner.
  5. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with departments, project managers, and clients.
  6. Perform general office activities such as operating equipment, processing mail, and securing confidential materials.
  7. Document all business processes according to record retention guidelines.
  8. Collaborate with IT on problem recognition, resolution, testing, and data verification.
  9. Complete special projects as assigned by the manager.
Qualifications
Job Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of three years relevant accounting experience or a college degree.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with office equipment and computer programs.
  • Deadline-driven with excellent attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Five or more years of Accounts Receivable experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Ability to adapt and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in the engineering industry.
Physical Demands

Communication via in person, phone, email, video chat, and software systems. May include visits to construction sites and industrial facilities requiring mobility and PPE such as hardhats, safety glasses, ear protection, masks, safety vests, gloves, and boots.

Work Environment

Work in a professional, fast-paced corporate office environment, utilizing open workspaces and conference rooms. Facilities include an on-site café, fitness center, outdoor walking paths, herb garden, sports courts, and a clinic. Office noise is generally low, with friendly and respectful colleagues.
