Job summary

BioLabs in Cambridge, Massachusetts is seeking an Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable (AP/AR) Specialist. This role will focus ~75% on AP with 25% AR, reporting to the Accounting Manager to support end-to-end processes in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include processing invoices and payments, reconciling accounts, and maintaining strong internal controls while delivering accurate, timely data.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting.
• 1-3 years of A/P-related experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; Bill.com, NetSuite, and QBO preferred.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Process AP and AR transactions, including invoices, coding, approvals, payments, and billing.
• Monitor vendor and customer accounts, reconcile statements, and resolve discrepancies.
• Record and apply customer payments accurately and timely.
• Reconcile credit card transactions and investigate discrepancies.
• Respond to AP/AR inquiries from vendors, customers, and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Support month-end close and audits with data, processes and controls.
• Contribute to process improvements that strengthen data accuracy.
