Job summary

Creative Financial Staffing, LLC in Northbrook is seeking an AP/AR Specialist to own the full cycle of accounts payable and accounts receivable within a growing accounting team. This role offers exposure to both operational and corporate processes and significant visibility with leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance, or 3+ years of AP/AR experience.
• Strong Excel skills and ERP experience (NetSuite or similar preferred).
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently while thriving in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle Accounts Receivable: invoicing, cash applications, payment processing, and collections.
• Oversee Accounts Payable: invoice entry, PO matching, variance resolution, and vendor payments.
• Support general ledger activities including reconciliations and journal entries.
• Communicate with customers and vendors to resolve inquiries and discrepancies.
• Assist with month-end processes, including credit card journal entries and reporting.
• Maintain and update third-party billing portals.
