Job summary

Volunteers of America Los Angeles is hiring an AOD Support Staff I Registered MC for the Swing Shift. The role supports clients in treatment under supervision, participates in group sessions, and helps ensure a safe program environment in a non-profit setting.

You will assist with intake, documentation, and coordination with case management, while following organization policies and procedures. Training is provided with opportunities for credentialing growth.

Qualifications

• Must be in good standing in an Alcohol and Drug Counseling Certification program.
• Completion of ASAM Within 2 weeks of hire recommended.

Responsibilities

• Assist in screening, assessment, and intake under supervision of a Certified AOD Counselor.
• Participate in group and educational sessions and assist in discharge planning.
• Transport participants to offsite appointments when needed.
• Monitor program safety and security; perform bag and person screening.
• Maintain client records and required EHR entries.
