Job summary

VOALA in Los Angeles seeks an AOD Support Staff III Certified MC for swing shift to deliver treatment services and monitor program safety on-site. The role includes education on recovery, crisis management, and mentoring junior staff, while maintaining AOD credentials.

The position requires a California driver’s license, fingerprint clearance, and a flexible schedule. Training in EHR documentation and client support within a non-profit setting will be provided.

Qualifications

• Must pass fingerprint clearance and background check.
• Valid California Driver's License and auto insurance.
• Must be able to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Maintain AOD Credential as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide AOD counseling functions: screening, assessment, intake, and education.
• Collaborate with case manager and therapist to support treatment plans.
• Complete discharge and transition plans and document in EHR.
• Monitor client self-administration of prescribed medication and document.
• Mentor AOD staff and cover for assigned counselor as needed.
• Transport participants to offsite appointments when necessary.
