Job summary

NYU Langone Health is seeking an Anesthesia Tech II at its Hospital—Brooklyn location. The role involves stocking anesthetic supplies for ORs, maintaining equipment, ensuring availability of devices, and assisting clinicians with patient care during induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia.

Responsibilities include calibration, troubleshooting of anesthesia machines, setup of monitoring devices, and collaboration with nursing staff to ensure patient safety and efficient operating

Qualifications

• Graduate of an anesthesia tech program or 2 years of experience supporting anesthesia clinicians with patient care.
• Familiarity with Operating Room drug and equipment terminology required.
• Must be able to read, write and follow instructions.
• Lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Stock anesthetic supplies for operating rooms and maintain anesthetic equipment.
• Assist clinicians with patient care, including induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia.
• Set up and troubleshoot anesthesia machines and related equipment.
• Ensure sterility and cleanliness of machines and surfaces.
• Communicate with circulating nurses and follow protocols.
