Job summary

Citigroup in Irving, Texas seeks a Digital Software Engineer Lead Analyst, Android Development to own end-to-end mobile programs in a large financial services environment. You will mentor engineers, drive engineering excellence, and manage multiple streams while aligning with Citigroup's architectural roadmap.

Role requires strong Android (Kotlin/Java), CI/CD, and experience with AI-enabled tooling, security-by-design principles, and collaboration with onshore/offshore teams.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering with seniority
• 5+ years native mobile development — Android (Kotlin/Java) strongly preferred; iOS (Swift) a plus
• 5+ years server-side/mobile backend tech (Java/Kotlin/Spring Boot)
• 3+ years as tech lead or senior engineering lead, mentoring engineers and governing code quality
• 3+ years OpenShift, public cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and AI-assisted tooling
• Proven track record delivering complex mobile programs in financial services
• Strong systems analysis and architecture for mobile and distributed software
• Ability to manage deadlines and shifting requirements
• Experience consulting, stakeholder management, and project management
• Independent worker with sound judgement, autonomy
• Experience with AI tools in software development and SME to stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Accountable for all phases of development in agile lifecycles
• Collaborate with business partners to analyze user stories
• Translate user stories into scalable solutions aligned with architectural roadmap
• Prepare detailed designs focusing on security, resiliency, and performance
• Lead and mentor a team of engineers to drive excellence
• Manage multiple work streams and project priorities
• Develop and implement best-in-class processes and metrics
• Develop and execute automated and manual test scripts for validation
• Provide accurate estimates and manage risks throughout the SDLC
• Ensure compliance with firm policies and regulatory requirements
