Job summary

Intuit is offering a Mobile Software Engineer Intern - Android role within its Emerging Talent Program. You will work on Android apps across TurboTax, QuickBooks, Credit Karma, and Mailchimp, writing production Kotlin/Java code alongside experienced engineers and using AI tools to accelerate development.

As an intern, you will gain hands-on experience applying best practices in software development, collaborate with peers and mentors, and explore cross-functional projects with senior leaders,

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a degree-seeking program with expected graduation after internship ends.
• Experience building Android apps, ideally with Kotlin.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States for the duration of the internship.
• Ability to work in a hybrid Intuit office location with relocation stipend.
• Familiar with Kotlin, Java, and Python.
• Familiarity with Android architecture and development frameworks (Jetpack, Coroutines, MVVM).
• Familiar with Agile development and SDLC.
• Self-starter with initiative and independent decision-making.
• Strong problem-solving and delivery history.
• Willingness to learn and grow technically.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and test features for Android applications.
• Write clean, well-tested Kotlin and Java code, and participate in code reviews.
• Debug and resolve defects across the app, from UI to the stack.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and product managers to turn requirements into working software.
• Use AI-assisted development tools to accelerate your own workflow, and share what you learn with the team.
• Support the deployment and ongoing maintenance of features you help ship.
