Intuit Inc. invites students to join its 12‑week Summer Emerging Talent program as a Mobile Software Engineer Intern - Android.

You will write production Android code alongside experienced engineers, using AI tools to move faster and think bigger, and you will see your work reach real customers across Intuit's product ecosystem. You will gain hands‑on experience applying best practices in software development, work with mentors, and participate in dedicated programming and networking events

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a degree‑seeking program with an expected graduation date after the internship ends.
• Familiarity with AI tools and curiosity about AI applications.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for the duration of the internship.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment at an Intuit office location determined by your team and role.
• Experience building Android applications, ideally with Kotlin.
• Familiarity with Android architecture and development frameworks (Jetpack, Coroutines, MVVM).
• Working knowledge of Kotlin, Java, and Python.
• Comfort partnering with designers and backend engineers to connect mobile apps to cloud APIs.
• Experience with Agile development and software development lifecycle.
• Self‑starter attitude with initiative and independent decision making.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and track record of delivering tasks.
• Desire to learn and grow in a technical environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and test features for Intuit's Android applications, from UI to services they call.
• Write clean, well‑tested Kotlin and Java code and participate in code reviews.
• Debug and resolve defects across the app and trace issues through the stack.
• Partner with engineers, designers, and product managers to turn requirements into working software.
• Use AI‑assisted development tools to accelerate workflow and share learnings with the team.
• Support deployment and ongoing maintenance of features shipped.
